One of the key professional skills I developed was analytical and assessment skills. Throughout the practicum, I engaged in evaluating my peers' microteaching presentations. This process required me to provide constructive feedback, identify strengths, and suggest areas for improvement. By critically analyzing various teaching methods and their effectiveness, I enhanced my ability to assess educational practices comprehensively.

Planning skills were another critical area of growth for me. I was involved in various planning activities, including planning microteaching lessons and coordinating workshops and a seminar. Planning microteaching sessions was equally demanding, necessitating well-structured, engaging lessons that met specific learning objectives. Additionally, the workshops and seminar planning involved detailed scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination with participants and speakers, all of which contributed to refining my organizational skills.

Effective communication is fundamental in teaching, and my practicum provided ample opportunities to enhance this skill. I learned to communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and students. Articulating ideas, listening actively, and adapting my communication style to different audiences were crucial in ensuring that my interactions were productive and supportive of the learning environment.

The practicum also significantly improved my cultural competency skills. Teaching and learning in diverse cultural contexts at both universities enhanced my intercultural awareness. I learned to tailor my teaching methods to accommodate cultural differences, making the learning experience more relatable and effective for students from various backgrounds. This intercultural awareness is essential for fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Leadership skills such as adaptability and social responsibility were also part of my development during the practicum. Leading group activities and managing classroom dynamics required me to be flexible and considerate of others' needs and perspectives. These experiences taught me to approach leadership with a sense of responsibility and empathy, ensuring that every student felt valued and supported.

Reflecting on my contribution and changes in behavior and perception, my experience at Thai Binh Duong University stands out. I had the opportunity to present a poster at a workshop, sharing our group’s research on implementing bottom-up strategies to improve students' listening comprehension. This experience enhanced my public speaking and presentation skills, providing a platform to engage with a broader academic audience.

Furthermore, after observing a class and participating in our group’s microteaching session on speaking skills, I realized the importance of aligning lesson objectives with the cultural context of the students. The feedback from our supervisor and the homeroom teacher was invaluable. It highlighted the need for culturally appropriate lesson aims and effective time management. This experience underscored the significance of being mindful of cultural differences in educational settings and planning lessons that fit within the allotted time, ensuring that they are both engaging and effective.

At the Naval Academy, I conducted a seminar on effective English study methods. The students were active and curious, and they enjoyed the seminar. However, this experience taught me the importance of presenting technical terms in an accessible way. I learned to simplify complex concepts to enhance understanding and retention among students, ensuring that the material was comprehensible and relevant to their learning needs.

In conclusion, reflecting on my practicum experiences, I recognize significant growth in my professional skills, including analytical, planning, communication, cultural competency, and leadership skills. These experiences have shaped my teaching approach, making me more adaptable and culturally aware.
