• Ms. Thu Ha introduced new vocabulary directly related to the topic. Using a combination of visual aids and context sentences, she ensured students grasped the meaning of each word. For example, the topic was about cooking so she would introduce words like "ingredients," "recipe," and "utensils," using pictures and context sentences.

2.2.2.1 Teach Reading

• The reading segment was introduced with a short, level-appropriate text incorporating the new vocabulary. Ms. Thu Ha first read the text aloud to model fluent reading and correct pronunciation. She then engaged the students in a shared reading activity, where they took turns reading sentences or paragraphs aloud. This activity was designed to improve their reading fluency and confidence.

• She divided the class into small groups and gave each group a set of cards with pictures and corresponding words. The students had to match the pictures with the correct words, reinforcing their memory through a fun and interactive activity.
